Don't Miss These Halloween Crafty Links

P1080893 Last year's Halloween tree and my Sweetie's beaded spiders.

Halloween making is here! Just take a look at One Pretty Thing and Crafty Crow! Cassie and Rachel do such a fantastic job of keeping us all up to date and connected with what is going on in the crafty blogiverse. And right now that means Halloween - and fall themed - projects!

I don't get to do much Halloween crafting - not since I started Gingerbread Snowflakes! October is when I am gearing up for - you know - the Winter Holidays!

But that doesn't mean I can't share the few projects with you that I will definitely be making! And I am starting off with a couple I just finished!

I added Lee's (Do Stuff) yarn wrapped branches to my Halloween bookmark file the minute I saw it. Her branches were wrapped in beautiful, bright colors - perfect for year long display. But all I could see was shades of orange and black!

I am not going to say this is the most beautiful example of Sara's really cool tissue paper bowls. Check out her tutorial for making them on her blog - Sara's Art House - and see for yourself why I just had to give this a try! When I saw her bowls, I immediately thought - Halloween candy bowl! And so far it is working out just great!

And now - for Halloween fun in the works or soon to be!

Vanessa's Wickedly Wonderful Paper Spider Webs rock! Her post includes two spooky tutorials. You have to go see how cool paper spider webs can be! And take a little time to wander around her blog A Fanciful Twist and her Etsy shop for a journey into fantasy land!

You already know I have a huge soft spot for Indian Corn and I am crazy about Tamales so it is a safe bet that I would fall for Kelley's Indian Corn Table Favors! She found the idea in an old Better Homes and Gardens magazine and shares her version on her blog, Kelley Highway.

Steph got my attention with this teaser post, then shared the "Bootorial for the Wee Ghosties" and then decided to make them available as earrings in her Folksy Shop and donate her profits to a very cool charity.Don't miss this! Fun read and you absolutely MUST see the finished earrings!

I love that she shares the how-to and also the option to purchase. Me? I am ordering a pair!

Lindsey so saved me with her Fabric Pumpkin tutorial!

Antonio and Sophia spent the day with me yesterday making Christmas ornaments. Late in the afternoon, Antonio wanted to make a jack-o-lantern for Halloween. OMG I was not at all prepared. I ran to the computer, pulled Lindsey's tutorial for making Fabric Pumpkins from my fall bookmark file and showed it to Antonio. He was sold!

So we made a lovely cloth pumpkin and he turned it into a jack-o-lantern by adding a face! Whew! And Thank you Lindsey!

And, here are a few more. Some made the rounds last year but I just think are outstanding ideas and deserve another go!!

Gourd Ghost Sculpture from Wee Folk Art. My gourd is painted! just need to add a bit of gauzy stuff! OMG and don't miss the gnome hat just posted on the site!  I wish I were ten.  I want one!

Beaded Spider Web from Disney Family Fun! Don't you love it! And I am thinking it could be almost any size! A perfect perch for my sweetie's beaded spiders!

Time for a snack! Bat-wiches with chocolate ganache shared by one of my favorite food blogs - Just Jenn Recipes.

And this yummy recipe from Household Ways for Pumpkin Stew in a Pumpkin would be a welcoming, hot, delicious meal to dive into following a night of trick or treat! Pop it in the oven before you head out with the children and let it cook while you are walking the neighborhood.

Happy Halloween crafting. See you in a couple days with another giveaway and a spooky project!
