Christmas in July Giveaway # 2

I am so excited about this giveaway!

The winner of the Christmas in July giveaway #2 will receive this beautiful Rosie and Bear embroidery pattern designed by Helen at Bustle and Sew.

I ordered one for myself and at the same time I ordered one for one lucky reader who wants to embroider along with me!

Helen describes her pattern: "A Christmas Gift shows Rosie meeting her new Bear in front of the biggest Christmas Tree ever!"

The pattern includes two mirrored transfers, stitch and color guides, applique template for the borders. And included in all her Rosie and Bear patterns is a guide for stitching fur.

So now I am asking a special favor of anyone who is entering! Since you read my blog and put up with me and Christmas in July, you are probably open to celebrating in one way or another during the whole year - or at least part of it!

In addition to religious traditions, what part of Christmas most enriches your celebration and touches your heart.

The giveaway is open to everyone, internationals are welcome; and will close at 6:00 Pacific time July 31st.

Good luck everyone!

Oh! And if I haven't posted a winner by Monday evening will someone please remind me!  Sigh.

Decorating the Christmas tree

Decorating the Christmas tree is the most enjoyable for me. I have many decorations from childhood that evoke so many memories. The handmade decorations from relatives and friends over the years and those my family collects, bring back recollections of past holidays, events, and places we have been. Listening to my children speak of these things makes me feel truly blessed.

Yay! I love Helen's patterns

Yay! I love Helen's patterns and have several. But not this one! I'd have to say baking is a tradition that has been a part of my Christmas since I can remember. tho I don't do as much as I used to, there are still some baked goods that get done every year. These recipes are a tradition that my grandmothers used to do and I carry them on. I hope that this tradition will eventual carry on with my children.

One of my favorite things at

One of my favorite things at Christmas is decorating the tree. Most of our ornaments come from trips we have taken over the years. Each year, I recall all the places we have visited as we unpack each piece. Memories!

I really enjoy making new

I really enjoy making new christmas ornaments and decorations by myself, and with my kids, i am already making plans for a 12 days of ornaments this year, and making a new advent, maybe even embroidering it. I also really love making gifts for friends andfamily, homemade is just so much more treasured then going and buying it in the store. I love christmas!!! Cant wait...

Embroidery is one of those

Embroidery is one of those things I've been meaning to practice more at. What a great giveaway!

The part of Christmas that most enriches my celebration and touches my heart is drinking cardamom coffee with my family! We always drink coffee and catch up throughout the week (since we all live all over and usually are only all together this once), and there is always a new pot of coffee beign brewed. It's relaxing, refreshing and puts me in the Christmas mood! :)
