Stocking Giveaway time is finally here!

I have two stockings to give away this year! Each one will have goodies inside to celebrate St. Nicholas Day, St. Lucy Day, Guadalupe Day and other little goodies (such as Fanie's adorable stamps) I have been collecting this year! If you have been reading my blog, you know what they are!

Also, I am tucking in a couple easy to put together little "kits" from tutorials here on Gingerbread Snowflakes.

And in each stocking will be a little bitty box of those lovely chocolate sprinkles the Dutch love to put on their toast every morning!

Remember the Stocking Giveaway is hosted by Robin at Rsisland Crafts and if you follow this link you will find links to all the other crafty people who are holding Stocking Giveaway's on their own blogs! You can also use the button on my sidebar (right below the 2010 Holiday Cookie Recipe Swap) to reach the links.

Make the rounds and put your name in as many hats - er stockings - as you like! More giveaways will no doubt be posted throughout the week, so be sure to check back often.

If you would like to hold a giveaway on your own blog - it is not too late! Just pop it up on your blog and link to Robin's blog so you can link your site to all the others.

Hello Pam; This year Santa

Hello Pam; This year Santa will be adding vintage tin clockwork racing cars to the stockings in our home, balsa wood airplane kits and a really sweet knitting nancy along with the usual clementines, candy canes and one or two other bits and pieces (wooden beads and leather cord to string them on, super-bouncy balls and a glass "lalique" ring Spring to mind :) Got to go, small readers approaching!! Gill:)

Well, I will be leaving a

Well, I will be leaving a little stitched Scottie dog in each of my girls' stockings this year. They will think that is pretty cool! Otherwise, one year I RECEIVED a very cool present "in" my stocking- a little round snow saucer filled with Golden books. That was my best Santa gift ever.

Oh my! Thank you for sharing

Oh my! Thank you for sharing links to the adorable crafts and kits...and for sharing a sneak peek of your stocking giveaways! I am humming Have a Holly Jolly Christmas while I'm typing this! :)

Such a cute stocking -- i don't knit -- just crochet
I really can't take the credit but the most incredible stocking stuffer was a box of cracker jacks my dad steamed open and replaced the prize with an opal, emerald & diamond ring for my mother!! mama was a little pouty about it -- disappointed because she was only getting cracker jacks (money was a bit tight that year) but he finally got her to open it and she was speachless!
I will never forget that Christmas!

I would love to win a

I would love to win a stocking! The best thing I can think of was putting a 9" pie plate in my Mom's stocking! The stocking was knitted and you could fit a huge amount of stuff in there. Stocking stuffers rule!

Your stocking is adorable! I

Your stocking is adorable! I wish I was as talented as you are.
The best gift in my children's stockings were notes from Santa and sometimes the elves. The kids just loved reading them.

I'd love to win your

I'd love to win your beautiful stocking. Don't know it it's the coolest thing, but I've put money in stockings before. Now I give gift cards. Thanks, Peggy

What lovely gifties in the

What lovely gifties in the stocking. I haven't had a stocking in many years and would love to have one this year. The oddest thing I've put in a stocking were plastic ice cubes that lit up when immersed in liquid - a gag gift for my son.

Oh my goodness! I've been so

Oh my goodness! I've been so busy I almost missed this giveaway! Stockings have long been a favorite in my family. But as my kids got older it got harder to find little things for stuffing. Now my daughter is showing some interest in crafting, so its getting easier for her. But the men in the family! So hard! And I can't remember one thing that was the coolest I've ever hidden. But I remember one year when I found diamond earrings hidden in my stocking :)

GORGEOUS!! Thanks for the

GORGEOUS!! Thanks for the chance to win!

I don't know if it was the coolest--but certainly funny!-- I filled my hubby's stocking with coal :-)

Pam, you're knit stocking is so beautiful! Love the colors you chose! The coolest thing I've ever tucked into someone's stocking was a handmade felt softie of Doctor Who's 10th Doctor I made for my wonderful husband. He loves it and proudly displays it in our living room!
Big hugs,
Arielle

Hand knit! I'm so impressed

Hand knit! I'm so impressed with you. Hmm...the coolest thing I've put in someone's stocking. That is difficult. I suppose it would have to be Crunchie bars. If you're not familiar with the magic of Crunchie bars, I suggest that you seek them out. They are made by Cadbury, but are a staple in Britain, not commonly available in the U.S. They are honey comb candy covered with chocolate - and DELICIOUS.

What a gorgeous stocking.

What a gorgeous stocking. Fun things put in our stockings are miniatures ... books, candy, puzzles.

WOW - a hand knit stocking!

WOW - a hand knit stocking! What a treasure. All the goodies sound great too. Thanks for the chance to win.

I am so impressed that you

I am so impressed that you knitted that lovely stocking! So pretty. The coolest story I have about placing a gift in a stocking was when I stuffed a tiny pair of earrings into my young daughter's stocking. She was about age nine at the time. She didn't find the earrings, and I didn't notice that she didn't have them after she supposedly emptied her loot. The following Christmas, she discovered the earrings, which had been stored away inside the stocking. I was as surprised as she was!

I don't. Have one but allways

I don't. Have one but allways wanted to do a scavenger hunt with cllues in the stockiing.

Wow, I have never seen a

Wow, I have never seen a hand-knitted stocking before. This is fabulous! I'm getting to the age where I can't remember yesterday, let along the stocking contents of Christmas past. But perhaps it was the little book I put in hubby's stocking last year titled "The Best Things in Life Begin with D" ... he is one of them!

The coolest thing I've ever

The coolest thing I've ever hidden in someone's stocking was tickets to a hockey game.

The coolest thing I ever put

The coolest thing I ever put in my kids stockings were clues to find a bigger present than could fit in there. I made it into a hunt and they kept finding more clues until they finally found the final gift.

THat is a lovely stocking!

THat is a lovely stocking! When my kids were very young, I wanted to keep Christmas special so I put a piece of their favorite fruit in their stockings just like Little House on the Prairie books that we had been reading aloud.

Your knitted stocking is just

Your knitted stocking is just as wonderful as your sewn one. It looks so perfectly Christmasy. I'd love to win it. When I gave my son his first car at 16 (not much of a car, but you know how boys are), I tucked the key in a box and stuck it in his stocking. Then I hid his stocking and pretended I couldn't remember where it was until after all the gifts were opened. =)

My children still love having

My children still love having a stocking in there twenties.
Please put me in the draw. Also enter my stocking giveaway

Trying to think of something

Trying to think of something = I know I have hidden a miniature of something that I had bought that was larger as a hint in a stocking. Thank you for the chance to win such a pretty stocking!

I love being the stocking

I love being the stocking stuffer in my house. I love choosing things for my children, wrapping them and putting them in their stocking before hanging them at the end of their bed.
I think my favourite thing in their stocking so far has been the fire engine torch for my son. It is brilliant and I love that it doesn't make any noise.

The coolest thing I ever hid

The coolest thing I ever hid in my husbands stocking were a set of keys to his big trailer. I couldn't hide his gift in the house, so I hid it outside in his trailer. I bought him a dirt cheap project car. It was a '67 Chevy Elcamino. He hasn't worked on it yet, but someday... LOVE your stocking!!! Thank you for the chance to win.

I can't think of anything

I can't think of anything extra cool that I have stocking stuffed. I always make sure the kids have lots of fun stuff in theirs though. I usually have them so full I have to lay them under the tree so they don't fall off the wall. Good luck all!

Oh I love this one!! Just so

Oh I love this one!! Just so gorgeous!
The coolest thing I ever stuffed into someone else's stocking was a treasure map, detailing the route (which required car travel!) to all the other stocking stuffers! I included some 'tools' that would be required for the treasure hunt too, like the first clue, a small spade (to dig up a prize at the local park). It was the most wonderful thing to do for someone - my partner often says that even though the gifts were wonderful, the best bit was the treasure hunt as it was totally unexpected and unusual for Christmas, and that the effort that went into it spoke volumes for how I felt about him!
Hmmm, maybe I should do that again this year...

This stocking is beautiful.

This stocking is beautiful. I love the knitting. I always like to put a new fun PEZ dispenser in my daughter's stocking, and this year I will be putting Lego Minifigures, which she will love.

Adorable stocking! The coolest thing I have ever found in my stocking been very small, very sharp fold up scissors from Santa aka Hubby! Love them! Thanks for a chance!

The kids love scroched almonds so one yr we put a box in each and their Christmases came all at once. Now they are old enough they buy their own, but they still get a box every xmas

What a lovely stocking !

What a lovely stocking ! Thanks for putting my name in the draw.

Pam! I just adore this

Pam! I just adore this stocking. I found the directions on how to knit it but alas I do not know how to knit... going to have to learn because it is such an awesome craft. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to win this beautiful stocking.

The most memorable stocking stuffer is a little joke between my Mom and I and It started when I was a teenager. Every year (depending on who got it last) we stuff the others stocking with a little troll doll with white hair. I love it!

Oh, wow! This knitted

Oh, wow! This knitted stocking is gorgeous! I would love to be able to knit like this. I love the colors too! I like to collect fun things to put in my daughters stockings. The older they get the more challenging it is to come up with things. The coolest thing I've given them --they thought it was cool--were tiny diamond earrings.

I put a lottery ticket in my

I put a lottery ticket in my teenage children's stockings - nobody has ever won more than £10 yet though!!

What a wonderful stocking!

What a wonderful stocking! Last year I made an advent calendar for my boyfriend and hid a lot of small kitchen bits and gadgets in it. Every time we cooked I had carefully noted things that were missing and he was delighted to finally have a well stocked kitchen.

Thanks for the giveaway and for leaving it open to international readers! :)

Dear Pam It is very funny to

Dear Pam
It is very funny to see the beatifull things brought from a tradition. As I told we do not have that tradition in Portugal but I can tell that the most
naughty gift I gave was when I wrapped a very big carton box, fullfilled it with paper and at the bottom was a small bombom's case, This was to my boyfriend then (husband now) and I was a very shortage money teen... and we only shared 2 bombons as he ate all the rest, snif

Exciting giveaway for me!

Exciting giveaway for me! Yes, because I've never had a christmas stocking.
We don't use theme in Italy.
We use something similar only at january 6th, filled with candies (a particular carachter, called "Befana" brings candies to good children).

Hello Pam, would love a

Hello Pam, would love a second chance to win the gorgeous Christmas Stocking....have never had a Christmas Stocking.....Warm Regards, Lyn

This such a nice giveaway,

This such a nice giveaway, more like a gift that will keep on giving year after year.
Christmas in my part of the word is spent with family and friends eating and exchanging gifts. There is no Santa (can't have Santa without snow).
It's always nice to see how other people celebrate their holidays. I like giving out handmade gifts to family and friends.

I love this one too! We are

I love this one too! We are new to the stocking tradition so i don't have much experience, last year my husband got several candies that he loves that had to be shipped from out of state.

Not sure if it's coolest, but

Not sure if it's coolest, but thoughtful. My mother had searched high and low for the new Paula Deen magazine years ago and couldn't find it to subscribe. I grabbed one of the last magazines and subscribed for her. I wrapped up the magazine and subscription and she was so stoked. I get it for her every year.

I don't know if I have ever

I don't know if I have ever put anything super cool in a stocking. I made a stocking for my husband our first Christmas together. I sewed it...pretty pathetic...haha! I LOVE putting craft supplies in my kiddos stockings and let them create away! The gift that keeps on giving!

I do have an awesome photo with all three of my kids inside their jumbo stockings. BEST PICTURE EVER! I guess they were the coolest thing I ever put in a stocking! haha!

The handknitting is lovely.

The handknitting is lovely. Thanks for the chance to enter. The best thing I ever put in a stocking was a little Santa bug box with creapy little jiggling bugs for Santa's reindeer. I thought it was a joke but my husband considers it a treasured decoration. Sometimes the one dollar gifts make the biggest impact.

Hey, there! This is so

Hey, there! This is so perfectly geometric and colorful! It's like you made it just for me! Thank you. (What I mean is, please put my name in the 'hat' for this!)

As for the coolest thing I've ever hidden in a stocking... A tennis ball with a bell in it! For my labrador retriever, Sam!

Thanks for the chance to win!

I diligently search

I diligently search everywhere for the 'unusual' , from the prized to the most humorous items for my grown children. This year a dollar store item, with the label removed, should bring much discussion and questions...no it's not a wire whisk, no cooking involved....it's a do it yourself scalp massager!

I love your knitted stocking.

I love your knitted stocking. Knitting is something I don't do! Once I put reindeers candy dispensers in the sons' stockings, the ones that "poop" the candy out! Thanks for the great giveaway.

It's not the coolest thing I

It's not the coolest thing I every put in a stocking, but it is the one I remember the most! When I was first married (30 years now) I put a Birk's blue box in the toe of my husband's stocking. Birk's was a jewellry store and according to their ads at that time "only good things come in a Birk's blue box". When he opened it up there was a lump of coal! We thought it was funny, him ...not so much.
Thanks for the great giveaway!

I started putting $1

I started putting $1 sacagawea coins in my sons' stockings years ago. recently i was helping my 14 year old sort through treasures - and he has saved them all over the years. it's one of his favorite christmas morning memories although the peppermint stick is a good one too!
