Hello and Sending Love

Rudbeckia

As much as this space and the friends I have made here continually fill me with joy, I am not ready yet to return 100%. But I do want to dip my toe in, say hello and thank each and every one of you who have reached out to me and to Diane in so many lovely and heartfelt ways during these past two months. I have been completely overwhelmed by the out-pouring of love, prayers, warm hugs and reminders of friendship that have been sent our way - that are still being sent our way.

As you can imagine, I feel as if a huge chunk of my life has been crushed and broken. I can't begin to tell you how much it means to receive your reminders that there are still parts of my life that hold promise for a future.

As you can also imagine, the number of "things to do" seems almost insurmountable right now, but I am making progress every day. It is my desire to reach out to each of you individually and that will take precedence over this space for the time being.

But I will be back before long. As I always suspected, hand work - in my case knitting - is hugely helpful in sustaining sanity and providing solace. And despite the fact that I am not quite ready to return here full time to my little space, with every stitch added to the needles, I am more and more eager to share.

For now, I simply want to say thank you from the very bottom of my heart for your love and support. I will be back here soon.

I am just a newbie in your

I am just a newbie in your blog and I came across this thread. Thank you for sharing and and once I get to mount and hang my fall leaves on the wall, I will always remember you, how unselfishly you shared your ideas. I'll pray for you that you remain strong and inspire more people like me.

When I realized it was 100 days 'til Christmas a couple of days ago, I thought of you and then today, I hunted you up on Instagram to see how the Primstav is going....I'm SO sorry for your loss. We'll still be here whenever you're ready to come back.

I was dusting my Christmas ornament bins last weekend...Do you think it's too soon to put up my Christmas tree? :)

How lovely to hear from you

How lovely to hear from you Katie.  You made my heart happy - noticing  100 Days til Christmas.  Your blog posts sharing images of your trip to Ireland are wonderful - scanned them quickly but will return for a closer look.  Thank you for sharing them. And no - it is not too early to put up your tree!  As long as it isn't a fresh live one!  I actually have just completed Alan Dart's Advent Tree and am hard at work on ornaments.  It is standing in the middle of my dining table already.

Pam, I also missed your daughter's earlier post. I am so sorry for your loss. From what your daughter said, your husband was a great blessing to you, and I know the loss of his physical presence is a great sorrow. I am so glad that your friends and family have rallied around you. Please take care, and take the time you need to grieve and to heal. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Thank you Susan. Diane and I

Thank you Susan. Diane and I spent the day together yesterday dealing with the mountain of paperwork and stupid little details that must be addressed.  Seems endless but thank goodness for Diane's help.  I would be lost without her in this new cyber world we live in.
