Christmas is Around the Corner! Great Kits and Patterns for Making Perfect Holiday Gifts.

MY Knitted Dove

75 days until Christmas! Don't you think it is about time to get started stitching? Or glueing, making, stuffing, piecing? I've got some great ideas for you including patterns you can order on line and download instantly so you can begin making Christmas right now!

(And incidentally, they are all patterns I am currently stitching (or about to stitch) myself!)

Advent Christmas Tree

Fabulous 24" tall snowy white Advent Tree by Alan Dart. Not exactly a quick knit but not a difficult one either. Loved working with the Sidar Funky Fur; and now finally - after many years of wishing for a snowy white tree at Christmas, I will have one.

Knitted Advent Tree Ornaments

Advent Tree Ornaments. I am about half way through the set. (Just posted Santa on Instagram!) If you are a knitter, there is no reason you could not finish the tree by Dec. 1 and then make an ornament each day of the Advent season! Every single ornament I complete just blows me away with how cleverly Mr. Dart can turn the simplest stitches into three dimensional shapes.

Christmas Ghosts by Little Dorritt and Co.

Christmas Ghosts embroidery patterns can be found in the Little Dorritt and Co. Shop. Perfect for holiday throw pillows, wall hangings, aprons, dish towels, holiday table napkins…. So many possibilities. And while you are visiting the shop, check out the new Christmas designs and browse through the selection of patterns featuring literary characters!  You will find many of your favorites there!

Shaved Wood Ornaments made from a kit!

Don't forget the lovely Shaved Wood Ornament Kits! One kit makes 7 to 8 ornaments and at $10.00 per kit that is a great value. All you need to add is glue! Read more about the kits and how to order here.  Hint: order more than one kit!  Once you get started on these it is hard to stop!  Fortunately both the ornaments and the kits make unique gifts.

Crocheted Ornaments

Got lots of yarn scraps? Check out this Christmas Baubles crochet pattern from Planet June! It only takes minutes to crochet an ornament and since you are using scraps - no investment in yarn!  The pattern offers 9 different baubles but this one is my favorite.  Quick and simple and pretty!  I am especially loving the ornaments made using Yarnia cone ends.  You can order those from the Yarnia Online Shop here!

Lollypop Gingerbread House Pattern from Polka and Bloom

Do you not love this brand new Lollypop Gingerbread House embroidery pattern just released in the Polka and Bloom Shop? I could not order it fast enough!! But… how could I help myself? Gingerbread house! Hearts! Lollypops! All Christmas favorites! And perfect for adding Christmas to almost anything! Casserole carry-all, festive pillow cases, hand towels, holiday mug rugs.....  I enlarged the pattern a little more to fit a nice big pillow!

Amigarumi monster by Lucy Ravenscar

Admittedly, I am a big ole sucker for Abominable Snow Monsters!  As far as I am concerned, Lucy Ravenscar's Adorable Monster Amigurumi pattern is close enough to qualify for my collection! And to charm any child who is enchanted by the holiday animation feature "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer".

And there you have it! Order a pattern or two or three and join me won't you?  I'll make tea and cookies!  Christmas cookies of course!

I love to make different

I love to make different Christmas crafts to decorate my house and and to give as gifts. One of my favorite things to make is a painted canvas and then punch a strand of Christmas lights through it so it lights up. Thanks so much for sharing!
