Halloween

My sweetie has agreed to show us how to make very cool beaded spiders!

He learned to make them several years ago and since then has taught the technique to friends and rock & mineral club members.

Well known in my family for never creating anything other than happy faces on Halloween pumpkins, this year I decided, for my very special daughter-in-law who adores all things spooky at Halloween, I would break with tradition and attempt something a little more scary! How'd I do?

Quick and easy peasy little way to spread Halloween fun throughout the season! Kid tested! Kids find it very entertaining to rearrange the faces every day - or every hour! As do I!

Meet Ginger: my little Halloween Witch.

She was created entirely of farm produce - gourds and corn mostly. Well - there IS a bit of help from felt tip markers and hot glue - so MOSTLY all farm produce!

Actually, something quite similar could be done using fresh squash or pumpkins - but once cut, your squash will likely only last a couple days before it begins to mold. But that is true of pretty much anything made with fresh squash or pumpkins.

Today I finally gave in to Fall! Decorated my seasonal tree with fall ornaments. Put up my Halloween Tree. Set out Halloween and Harvest decorations. And it seems like a good time to change over my blog too! A little round-up of Fall and Halloween tutorials seems appropriate!
