Strawberry Cream Pie! My most favorite way to eat strawberries and yet, can you believe it, I haven't made one in years?
I don't have a clue where I originally found this recipe but it was found a long, long time ago - in the olden days when I would transfer every new recipe I tried and liked to a recipe card and never thought to write down where I found it.

Making more "faux Pysanky" was not on my calendar! But I had so much fun making the marker Pysanky when I was playing with different ways to decorate brown eggs for Easter, that I just HAD to blow out more eggs to make more.

Apparently, there are several cultures in the world that regard Twelfth Night - also know as Three Kings Day or Epiphany - as a great time to eat a very special cake!
I decided to make baking a special cake on Twelfth Night a new tradition at my house - beginning this year! With this very cake - Gâteau Basque.
