More Saori Weaving to Share!

P1100554

Ok, I just had to share this! Jan is at it again - making coasters and has posted a great little tutorial for making them with fabric strips.

Jan and I both think this is just the greatest craft for kids. Easy for little fingers. And even if they miss a warp here and there it is still beautiful!

Visiting Weavers!

P1100583

I have turned into a addict! I can't stop making mini Saori weavings on my cardboard looms! Every time I finish one, another idea pops into my head!

One thing for sure, I will be making at least one to include in the 2011 Christmas Stocking giveaway!

Lots and lots of beautiful natural crystals - just the way they are formed by nature!

Recycling with Christina

019

Usually this time of year I am busy making craft projects using materials in my recycle stash.

But this year I haven't even had time to venture near that stash! So I am going to devote this post to introducing you to my friend Christina who creates almost everything she makes using recycled materials.

Christina is one of my "Recycle Heros". Certainly she is an inspiration for looking at everyday materials and trash in new ways.

This is why Alice needs a Saori mug rug for her desk at work!

She made this beautiful pot holder for me for Mother's Day! I still can't believe, as busy as she is, that she took the time to do this.

I love it. Love the colors. Love the big surprise. Love Alice!
