P1090376

I still can't believe I am finally getting to write this post and that this fun fridge magnet Advent Calendar Christmas Tree is actually currently living on my fridge!

The idea to create a fridge magnet Advent calendar tree has been bubbling around in my mind for a couple years now, but I was pretty certain I didn't have the drawing skills to pull it off, much less the computer chops.

Earth Loom Revisited!

Fall update on my garden Earth Loom!

Just finished tucking in a few flowers from a "dead head" tour of the garden! They will dry out, of course, but they will stay pretty and colorful for at least ten days in this chilly and damp weather.

A little fall color from my peony and big leaf maple. And more to come!

Happy St. Knut's Day!

For some Scandinavians, especially those living on the Aland Islands, today is the day Christmas trees are taken down and ornaments and decorations are stored away for next year.

I decided a little celebration is in order!  So I am spending the day in the Land of Unmade Ornaments!

For those of you unfamiliar with the meaning of the Advent season, or who may want to know a little more about the history of Advent wreaths and calendars, check out Advent and the Wreath.

The symbols on each candle are designed to remind us :
