Making Dala has been a journey - a journey filled with learning new skills, wrong turns, flashes of insight, mistakes and successes.
Dala was a challenge and it is the overcoming of that challenge and what I learned along the way that I am sharing here. It is a long post. It really is. In fact - you might consider it a free e-book! But hopefully, anyone wanting to make stuffed toys be they Dala's or frogs, will find it and the resources within useful.

If you need a quick little gift for a knitter - grab that bit of leftover yarn from one of your recent projects and wind it into a ball about 2" in diameter.
Cut two wood skewers 4" to 5" long.
Glue a bead on the end of each skewer and you are done!
Easy ornament gift for kids to make for teachers, grandparents, aunts ... and for you to make for mothers, sisters, and friends!
And a great little ornament for your own tree - make one for every project you have done this year!

A little mushroom village designed to hold my sewing notions and buttons,
'cause after all, 20 years is long enough of this!
I started out with these... from - you know - my famous trash stash!

Grab a cup of tea and a few cookies and come sit with me while I share a sneak peak at my beautiful copy of Joan Gorman's very first volume of her brand new e-book series Stitch Village.
