First 2015 bloom to celebrate the awaking of my spring garden. And my return to blogging.
Sorry to be gone so long. I've been healing from health challenges brought on right at the beginning of the new year by the stress of the past several months of 2014. I am happy to say that I am making great progress toward being back to my self and those of you who have missed me in this space should be seeing more of me going forward.

Moving on toward Winter Holidays - which have officially begun here on Gingerbreadsnowflakes despite how far I have fallen behind on my much beloved Primstav project! At least I have a tree to share - a Christmas in July tree!
Marking my 6th blogging anniversary and beginning my seventh holiday season today and although it may be a bit quieter than usual this year, I hope to make it worth your while to visit once or twice or more often!!

Many years ago - many, my family persuaded this shy, nearly friendless teen to enter the Junior Miss Pageant. Since I was not particularly talented, I decided I would speak. And what I shared with that huge, invisible audience hiding in the darkened auditorium were words from Confuscious:
"It is better to light one small candle, than to curse the darkness."

When I noticed that Diane and Tammy had begun their "Link Love" series again with "Five Posts That Inspired Me to Try Something New", I knew immediately I would be participating! Because, you see, I have been in a very different "bloggy place" of late and this theme fit "that place" quite nicely!

I am soooooooooo in love with my new Alan Dart Tomte! Just finished him a couple days ago. AND I am totally in "crafty love" with BARC Wood Veneer Paper - which is what I used to make the sweet little prototype Valentine Danish Heart Basket he is holding.
